Pushor Mitchell is proud to be the recipient of numerous corporate and community involvement awards over the years. The summaries below note some of those honours.

Canada’s Small and Medium Employer Award – 2023

Pushor Mitchell has received Canada’s Small and Medium Employer Award for 2023, a special recognition that is awarded to organizations that demonstrate excellence in creating a healthy and supportive workplace culture for their employees. The award recognizes companies who demonstrate leadership in areas such as Work Atmosphere; Health, Financial & Family Benefits; Employee Communications; Training & Skills Development; and Community Involvement.

GOLD – Best Law Firm in Kelowna – 2022

Pushor Mitchell was very proud and humbled to be voted Best Law Firm – Kelowna for the “Best of Kelowna” 2022 Awards 2022.

One of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers – 2017

Pushor Mitchell is proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2017. Winners were featured in a special magazine published in the April 25, 2017 issue of The Globe and Mail. Best of the Okanagan – Best Law Firm Central Okanagan, Okanagan Life Magazine – 2016

Established in 1988, Okanagan Life is produced ten times a year and is distributed to more than 17,000 Okanagan Valley homes, businesses, newsstands and subscribers. Annually, their readers are surveyed and vote for their favourite businesses in the North, Central and south Okanagan. Pushor Mitchell is honoured to have been voted the Best Law Firm in the Central Okanagan in 2016 as well as many previous years.

United Way Change Starts Here Spirit Award – 2012

The Change Starts Here Spirit Award recognizes the organization that most actively contributed to community change during the 2012 United Way campaign. United Way Spirit Awards are presented to those volunteers and organizations in the community who have put forth an exceptional effort on behalf of United Way during the annual campaign.

Fortis BC PowerSense Conservation Excellence Award – 2012

The FortisBC PowerSense Conservation Excellence Awards recognize customers who have shown a commitment to innovation, conservation and sustainability by completing energy efficiency projects that save more than 100,000 kilowatt hours annually. Pushor Mitchell was chosen as one of the 2012 FortisBC PowerSense Conservation Excellence Award recipients. “Every year, FortisBC recognizes business leaders and individuals who strive to make energy efficiency a part of their organization” said John Walker, President and CEO, FortisBC.

Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Recognition Award – 2012

Pushor Mitchell LLP was one of eleven businesses recognized by the Chamber for outstanding commitment and support, achieving over 40 years of membership with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.

Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Green Award, Large Business Category – 2011

The Green Business awards were created to recognize businesses and organizations in the Central Okanagan who successfully operate with environmentally sustainable practices. The awards provided a platform in which local sustainability leaders could compete to get recognition for their actions. 2012 was the last year of the Green Business Awards and an award has been created in the Business Excellence Awards to reflect businesses that go above and beyond while making their business practices environmentally sustainable.

The Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Work Life Balance Award – 2009

The CBABC Work Life Balance Award was established in 2007 to recognize lawyers, law firms or organizations who demonstrate leadership in promoting work life balance within the practice of law.

The 2009 award was presented by former Attorney General Wally Oppal, QC to Pushor Mitchell LLP in recognition of their leadership in promoting work life balance within the practice of law.

United Way Employee Campaign Team of the Year Award – 2007

Awarded to the workplace campaign team that builds awareness around the benefit of giving to the United Way and provides recognition and improves results over the previous year.

Kelowna Civic Awards Corporate Citizen of the Year – 2006

The Kelowna Civic Corporate Citizen of the Year is awarded to a Kelowna business that has provided outstanding support for employee volunteerism in addition to financial contributions and initiatives having had a direct benefit on residents in Kelowna. Pushor Mitchell was the first corporate recipient of this inaugural award.

United Way Exceptional and Consistent Employees Award – 2006

Award recognizes the workplace that has demonstrated consistent and exceptional support and commitment to the United Way campaign.
