Since 1952, the Heart and Stroke Foundation has been working to reduce the toll of heart disease and stroke and tangibly improve the health of all Canadians.
Over this period, the cardiovascular death rate in Canada has declined by more than 75 per cent, largely due to research advances in surgical procedures, drug therapies and prevention efforts. The Foundation has invested more than $1.3 billion in heart and stroke research in the last 60 years.
Pushor Mitchell is a longtime active supporter of our local Heart and Stroke Foundation. Most recently, the firm hosted fundraising “healthy potluck lunches” that generated more than $5,000 for the Foundation’s Kelowna Chapter.
