Criminal Justice Reform In BC; Your Feedback Is Requested

The public is invited to provide comment through a new website established to facilitate an independent review of BC’s criminal justice system.

Earlier this year, Vancouver lawyer Geoff Cowper, QC was asked by the provincial government to conduct the review.

At the same time, the Ministry of Justice released a Green Paper, which summarizes some of the concerns identified by the provincial government. The goals of the review are to look at the facts underlying concerns with the system and to recommend solutions that would make it more efficient and effective.

This initiative has been created to identify and recommend reforms to improve the criminal justice system.
