Nick practices primarily in the area of criminal law. With respect to his criminal defence practice, he represents and assists clients in a range of matters, both at the Provincial and Supreme Court levels. He also represents the Public Prosecution Service of Canada by prosecuting offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Income Tax Act, and other Federal statutes. In addition to his criminal practice, Nick has a background in general litigation and continues to represent clients in the resolution of commercial disputes.
Nick grew up in the Lower Mainland and completed his undergraduate studies and Bachelor of Laws at the University of British Columbia. He moved to Kelowna and joined Pushor Mitchell to complete his Articles in 2006. He was called to the bar in 2007 and has remained with the firm since that time. Nick is a member of the Kelowna Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, and volunteers on the executive of the Criminal Law CBA Section for the Okanagan and surrounding areas.
In his personal life, when he isn’t spending time with his wife and young son, Nick takes part in a wide range of recreational sports, including volleyball, softball, and dragon boating. During the summer, he and his family enjoy spending whatever free time they have camping and fishing throughout the Okanagan.
