Monica McParland

Monica practices law in the area of criminal litigation and civil litigation.

After several years on the coast Monica returned to her roots in Kelowna. Monica grew up in Kelowna and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia -Okanagan in 1995. She received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1998 before returning to British Columbia to practice law.

Prior to joining Pushor Mitchell, Monica worked in private practice doing personal injury and insurance defense litigation, she also worked as in house counsel and conducted prosecutions for the federal and provincial governments. As a result Monica has extensive trial experience at both the Provincial and Supreme Court levels.

Currently, Monica works as an agent for the federal government prosecuting offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Income Tax Act, and other federal statutes. Monica is also re-establishing her civil litigation practice.

Outside the office, Monica’s top priority is spending time with her young family and large extended family. She enjoys all the Okanagan has to offer, including running, skiing and hiking.
