Mark Baron has been a trial lawyer for over 30 years. The focus of his practise for his entire career has been confined to civil litigation. He has extensive experience in construction/real estate matters, employment law, and personal injury matters. Mark has appeared in all levels of court in the province including the British Columbia Supreme Court and the B.C. Court of Appeal as well as the Federal Court of Canada.
In addition to trial work Mark has frequently engaged in alternate dispute resolution processes involving both mediation and arbitration. He has also completed Continuing Legal Education courses in mediation and advanced mediation techniques and frequently employs these methods to assist his clients in resolving their disputes.
Mark is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he received both his Bachelor of Arts and law degrees. He has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1980. and is currently the firm’s Managing Partner.

Complex commercial litigation including contract disputes, shareholder disputes and professional liability claims.
Strategic counsel for owners, contractors and subcontractors dealing with issues involving tendering, bonding, and builders liens.
Personal injury litigation dealing with all manner of claims including claims arising out of catastrophic accidents resulting in brain injury and quadriplegia as well as mediation of personal injury claims.
Counsel for employers and employees for issues including discipline, wrongful dismissal and termination.
Drafting and providing advice on matters including employment agreements, independent contractor arrangements, restrictive covenants and severance agreements.
Estate litigation involving both trust claims and claims involving the distribution of estates.
