Bryan is a Partner with Pushor Mitchell LLP, and practices in the areas of Personal Injury, Criminal Defense and Canadian and U.S. Immigration law. He is licensed to practice law in both British Columbia and Washington State.  Prior to joining the firm, Bryan practiced law in Fort St. John, B.C. and in Washington State in both Federal and State Courts working primarily in criminal defense and personal injury.

Bryan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with Distinction from the University of British Columbia. He then attended Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon where he was granted a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Bryan was admitted to the bar in Washington State in 2008 and became a Member of the Law Society of British Columbia in 2012.

On personal injury matters, he acts exclusively for plaintiffs and assists with negotiated settlements, mediation and trial. Bryan has experience navigating injury claims involving the WorkSafe BC, out-of-province insurers and ICBC. He has handled injury claims involving the Strata Property Act, the Occupiers Liability Act and the Health Care Costs Recovery Act. Bryan has experience working with experts to assist his clients in their recovery including orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, physiatrists and occupational therapists, among others. He works hard to ensure that his clients receive fair compensation for their injuries and accomplishes this through negotiated settlements, mediation and trial.

On criminal matters, Bryan handles a wide range of matters from white collar crime to driving related offences under the Motor Vehicle Act and Criminal Code of Canada. He has completed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course and uses this training to assist clients charged with impaired driving offences under the criminal code and those served with immediate roadside prohibitions (IRP) and administrative driving prohibitions (ADP) under the Motor Vehicle Act. Bryan has experience retaining experts to assist in the defense of his criminal clients including, digital forensics experts, psychologists, DNA experts and toxicologists. He has conducted judge alone and jury trials in criminal matters in both Washington State and British Columbia.

On Canadian and U.S. Immigration matters Bryan assists clients wanting to live, work and visit Canada and the United States. Bryan’s practice has a particular emphasis on business immigration and start-up visas for entrepreneurs on both sides of the border. Having worked and attended graduate school in the U.S., he has first-hand knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedure and brings this experience to bear on his client’s matters.

When not engrossed in the practice of law, his interests include fly fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his family. Bryan previously represented Canada as a member of the Canadian Junior National Water Polo Team and enjoys playing the sport when time permits.  Bryan also sits on the board of directors for the Greater Westside Board of Trade and Trial Lawyers Association of B.C.
