Ashleigh walks her clients through some of the most challenging times of their lives that arise as a result of being charged with criminal offences. Recognizing that these times are stressful and highly emotional, Ashleigh provides empathetic, practical, and fair legal advice customized to each client’s needs.

In her criminal defence practice, Ashleigh represents clients who have been charged with various offences under the Criminal Code and provincial regulatory statutes, helping them to put forward any defence they may have available to them in law and ensuring that their rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms are complied with.

She also helps clients to file applications for record suspensions of Canadian criminal records and applications to the United States for waivers of ineligibility due to Canadian criminal records. Rounding out her criminal practice, Ashleigh also works as an agent for the federal government prosecuting offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Income Tax Act, and other federal statutes.

Ashleigh completed her law degree at the University of Alberta after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in criminology and a minor in psychology from Simon Fraser University. She joined Pushor Mitchell as an articling student in 2007 and was called to the bar in 2008. She is a member of both the Kelowna and the Canadian Bar Associations.

In her personal life, Ashleigh values the meaningful times she spends with family and friends – including those of the four-legged variety! She plays softball, golf, and ice hockey and enjoys spending time outdoors in Kelowna’s natural beauty, living the Okanagan lifestyle to its fullest.
