Let's Talk
Ashleigh Baylis

Ashleigh is an associate lawyer at Pushor Mitchell LLP who practices primarily in the areas of family and criminal law.

Ashleigh maintains a criminal defence practice which consists of defending her clients of various criminal offences under the Criminal Code and provincial regulatory statutes.  She also works for the federal government prosecuting offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Income Tax Act and other federal statutes.

In addition, Ashleigh has a family law practice and is a certified Collaborative Family Law lawyer.  She works for her clients to resolve all issues arising out of the breakdown of their marriage or relationship, including divorce, custody, guardianship and access, child and spousal support issues, property division as well as adoption work.  Ashleigh attempts to settle these issues for her clients outside of court wherever possible, but will resort to litigation where appropriate.

Ashleigh joined Pushor Mitchell as an articled student in 2007 and was called to the bar in 2008. She completed her law degree from the University of Alberta after receiving a B.A. degree with a major in criminology from Simon Fraser University.

Away from the office, Ashleigh enjoys softball, ice hockey and spending time outdoors enjoying the Okanagan lifestyle. Her latest pursuit is working on and learning to "appreciate" the game of golf.
