Turning Employees' Ideas Into Dollars

It's usually not that difficult to come up with new ideas - just look in your suggestion box or go to lunch with staff members. The ideas may flow. But what you want is to identify the worthwhile ideas and turn them into a revenue stream.

Although two-thirds of the respondents said innovation is one of the five most important factors required to succeed, only one in 10 strongly agreed that their organization excels at it. Most of the firms manage to gain commercial value from just a small proportion of good ideas, and even the better firms leave good ideas on the table.
