Realtors Can Incorporate As Of January 1, 2009

Amendments to the Real Estate Services Act, S.B.C. 2004 that will allow individual realtors to form personal real estate corporations come into force on January 1, 2009, making British Columbia the first Province to offer the advantages of incorporation to realtors. Other professions that already enjoy the benefits of incorporation are lawyers, dentists and accountants. It will be important for realtors to obtain appropriate accounting and legal advice to decide whether incorporating is right for them.
