Pushor Mitchell Wins Work Life Balance Award from the Canadian Bar Association British Columbia Branch


On Thursday, June 25, 2009, Pushor Mitchell was awarded the second annual Work Life Balance Award by the CBABC for the firm’s efforts to encourage work life balance and a healthy lifestyle for its lawyers and staff.  The CBABC website describes the purpose of the award as follows:

“The Work Life Balance Committee of the CBABC established the Work Life Balance Award to recognize lawyers, law firms or organizations who demonstrate leadership in promoting work life balance within the practice of law. This Award is designed to reward innovation and creative thinking in work life balance and to recognize a CBABC member, law firm or organization who demonstrates this balance in their practice or who is a leader in the development and implementation of work life balance strategies.”

The Wellness Program at Pushor Mitchell is comprised of numerous components including providing lawyers and staff with healthy choices, lunchtime yoga sessions, monthly credits that can be used to help pay for costs associated with regular physical activity, and quarterly speakers on topics related to health and fitness.  The Wellness Program has had overwhelming participation from the lawyers and staff at Pushor Mitchell.  It is an honor for Pushor Mitchell to be selected for this award.
