New Legislation In Force


Recent proclamations of new British Columbia legislation include:

Assessment Statutes Amendment Act, 2007, S.B.C. 2007, c. 13 (Bill 32). Sections 4, 17 and 32 were brought into force September 24, 2007 (B.C. Reg. 291/2007); sections 1, 3, 5 to 11, 12(b) and (c), 15, 16, 21 to 31, 33 to 47, 49 to 53 and 55 to 68 also came into force September 24, 2007 (B.C. Reg. 292/2007). These amendments are to the Assessment Act, Assessment Authority Act, British Columbia Transit Act, Community Charter, Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority Act, Islands Trust Act, Local Government Act, Municipal Aid Act, Police Act, Taxation (Rural Area) Act and Vancouver Charter.
