Hiring Foreign Workers Getting A Whole Lot Faster

The federal and provincial governments have announced significant changes to the temporary foreign workers program, aimed at streamlining the process for employers.  These improvements will make it faster for employers in British Columbia and Alberta to hire foreign workers when there are no Canadian citizens or permanent residents available to fill the position.  According to news reports, the changes will reduce the time period for a labour market opinion from 5 months to 5 days.
