How to Receive the $100 Climate Action Grant for each of your Children!

Make sure you take advantage of the new Climate Action Dividend Program. In the 2008, the government of British Columbia announced that every British Columbian, including children under 18, will receive a one time, $100 payment. This payment is called the “Climate Action Dividend” and is part of an initiative to offset the impact of the new carbon tax.
The only requirement for receiving the $100 is being a BC resident as of December 31st 2007. Your cheque will be mailed to you automatically if you filed a 2007 Income Tax Return.
However, in order to receive the payment for each of your children under 18, you will have to fill out an application form.
