Intellectual Property and Technology Law

The firm’s Technology and Securities Law Group advises clients on a wide variety of intellectual property and technology-related legal issues.  The group includes a registered trademark agent who assists both public sector and private clients in prosecuting federal trademark applications, both in Canada and in other jurisdictions.  Our lawyers also assist clients in registering and protecting clients’ rights with respect to copyrights, industrial designs, integrated circuit topographies and domain names.

In addition to advising our clients with the registration and protection of their intellectual property rights, we also assist clients in the commercialization of those rights through technology transfer and licensing agreements.  Our lawyers are experienced in a wide range of legal issues relating to the Internet, electronic commerce and the acquisition and/or sale of hardware, software and technology services.
