Our practice group provides legal advice to both vendors and purchasers of both commercial and personal real estate.

We are often involved in structuring transactions on behalf of individuals, corporations, partnerships and joint ventures. We provide advise on tax issues which are often a concern including property taxes, property purchase tax, GST, sales tax and income tax. We are also often consulted on financing issues and deal with the pros and cons of different types of security as well as the many different types of provisions that should or should not be included in such security.

We review titles to property as well as the subdivision plans and the various encumbrances that may be found to be registered against the title. Both commercial and residential leases are often required and we draft leases that are suited to the needs of our client and are properly adapted to the particular property in question.
