A number of our firm’s trial lawyers practice in the area of security realization and insolvency.  Our firm represents a number of chartered banks, credit unions and private lenders with regard to enforcement of mortgage security (foreclosures) and personal property security under the Personal Property Security Act, in addition to general debt collection work.

We also represent Trustees in bankruptcy and receivers.  We are experienced in the preparation of opinions on the validity and enforceability of Security Agreements, and frequently provide opinions to lenders and Trustees with regard to issues of priority as between competing creditors, including statutory creditors.

We have experience in the preparation and review of Division One proposals under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and have acted as counsel in Companies Creditor Arrangement Act matters.
