Why did you become a lawyer?

I felt it made good use of my Sociology degree and I enjoy the challenge of learning the law and preparing cases.

What is the focus of your law practice?

Civil litigation with an initial focus on corporate/commercial matters.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what profession would you like to attempt?

Hosting a travel show for travellers on a shoestring budget.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what profession would you never do?

For almost every profession, there is someone out there that is amazing at the profession, enjoys it and/or does the profession because it needs to be done.  I wouldn’t want to devalue someone else’s profession by saying I’d never do it.

Your favourite technology tool?

Does Songza count?

What is the first thing you check each morning?

Whether I have it in me to get to the gym by 6:00.

What are people most surprised to learn about you?

For those that don’t already know me, I’ve played Ultimate at a national level (and currently am serving as president of the Kelowna Ultimate Players Society).

Your biggest extravagance?

My amazing winter peacoat.  Hoping by the end of the summer it is a new waterski.

Your favourite food and drink?

Food: bacon.  Drink: Earl-Grey infused gin.

Your favourite motto?

Until we are all free, we are none of us free.
